The activities are very varied and change according to the theme of the stay, but the structure is as follows:
- In the morning, activities are carried out to collaborate in the daily life of la Mandorla: taking care of the garden and animals and helping in the kitchen.
- More hands-on activities such as building cabins or doing plastic arts are usually followed.
- After lunch, more physical activities continue, alternating with quieter craft spaces.
- Each night we prepare a different game, we hold theater evenings, and in autumn and spring we gather around a bonfire to sing, dance, or tell stories.
That said, every week during the summer there is a day trip to the lake or river of Siurana, where the children can swim, and a large-scale play performed in a nearby natural setting. This large-scale play takes place on the last day, giving full meaning to the children's stay.
All arts and crafts activities are organized in small groups of 7 or 8 children to encourage language development and provide personalized attention to each child. In summer, they take place in the shade or indoors during the warmer afternoons, and in colder weather, they are held indoors.
It's important to know that on our summer camping trips we always spend an overnight stay somewhere in the area and sleep under the stars. It's definitely the most fun and adventurous night, and the children enjoy it immensely.
